Check Out Procedures

Students in grades DK - 2 are permitted to check out one book or magazine per week. They are expected to return the book on their regularly scheduled library day. They will not be allowed to check out another book until this book is returned.  Overdue materials can be returned on days other than the regularly scheduled library day.  If a class is not in the library with the librarian, the student can return the overdue book and check out a new book at the same time.

Students in grades 3 - 5 can check out two items per week. Only one magazine per week is allowed.  If the student has an overdue book he can still check out one new book if the overdue book is the only item the student has checked out.

 Lost Books

The PVPUSD policy is to charge $20.00 for each hardcover book and $7.00 for each paperback book that is lost.  The student may pay with cash or checks payable to Cornerstone Booster Club.  If the book is found at a later date, the money will be refunded.  The lost library fee must be paid or the student may have his/her report card held until reimbursement is received.
