The Supervision Team consists of 50% of all teachers, aides, and adults not assigned to other teams.

Post Location: PVPHS Baseball Field

Equipment Location: Emergency backpacks in classrooms and offices. Personal items should be in personal backpacks.

Equipment includes: Class roll sheets, emergency supplies, “All Accounted For” Form, information sheets regarding the drill and etc. . . . cards, paper and pencil, personal backpack.

PROCEDURES:

1. ACCOUNT FOR ALL STUDENTS (AND ADULTS WORKING WITH YOU). Fill out “All Accounted For” form and send immediately to the Command Center.

2. Keep students seated and together in the same area. Keep as calm and quiet as possible.

3. Supervise the class closest to you whose teacher has duty on another team. The closer the class is to you the easier it is for you to supervise them and to relay messages. Individual teachers who are assigned to other specific duties will report to their assigned posts AFTER taking their class roll on the field and then turning their students, class roll book, and emergency backpack over to the nearest teacher/adult. Roll sheets are important. You need to have the roll sheet in order to release students from the other class. Record students that leave. Use your own students to assist in record keeping.

4. Send one reliable student from each class to Runners Pool in the middle of the field wearing an orange vest. Make sure you write down the student’s name in case the student doesn’t return or requested for release.

5. Stay calm and keep students calm. Involve students in songs and games as needed. In a real emergency use students to calm each other. Have playing cards or other entertaining items to entertain. Playing cards/board games are in container.

6. Update the class roll sheet as students are released.

7. When numerous students have been released, teachers/adults must become available for reassignment to teams that need additional assistance or relief. Please combine classes and report to the Command Center.
